After meeting you in the city center we will go on a 25 minute seaside drive. Once we've arrived at the camp you will meet the Sami family and get a short introduction into their lives with the reindeer. Following that you'll get the possibility of feeding the reindeer, practice lasso throwing and go on a short reindeer-sledding ride (optional).

You'll be offered warm lunch and hot drinks, followed by a gathering inside the lavvu, where you'll enjoy storytelling and a joik performance, the traditional song of the Sami.

Frequently Asked Questions

general

  1. Taxi
At the airport, you should be able to easily get a taxi from the taxi stand, that is located right outside the luggage conveyor belts. The trip to the city is about 10 to 15 minutes and should cost between 200 NOK to 350 NOK depending on your flight time and the traffic. To order a taxi, you can call Tromsø Taxis at +47 03011.

    Airport Bus
You can also take the airport bus, Flybussen to the city. The bus cost 90 NOK per adult and stops at 4 stops in the city: Scandic Ishavshotel, Tromsø Prostneset, Scandic Grand hotel and Polaria.

  2. We don't charge tax on our tours and/or packages, and there are no additional charges for the prices listed on our website.

  3. Tromsø airport is serviced by 3 airlines, and these are:

Norwegian Air is usually cheaper, while SAS allows for the usage of miles for Star Alliance members. You may like to check on these websites to see which has a better offer for your preferred dates and would work best for your intended travelling schedule. If you're flying from Oslo to Tromsø, both Norwegian Air and SAS operate several direct flights to Tromsø daily.

If you are flying from London, you could fly with SAS from Heathrow, or with Norwegian Air from Gatwick. Norwegian Air also has a few direct flights from London to Tromsø each week.

  4. We use Norwegian kroner (NOK) here. Most shops, restaurants and even taxis here take credit card, so if you bring a little less cash, it shouldn't be a problem too as long as you have a working credit card.
